23rd June 2019
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Malin and Richard Nairn have kindly invited us to celebrate midsummer in their garden at Niddry Castle, Winchburgh again. The midsummer celebration will take place on Sunday 23 June from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
The party will start with a picnic/bbq followed by dancing around the midsummer pole and a guided tour around the castle.
There will be barbecues available, but please bring your own picnic and something to barbecue. Don’t forget a picnic blanket or something more fancy to sit on. It is greatly appreciated if you are able to bring flowers and foliage to decorate the midsummer pole.

Description:
Niddry Castle is a fourteenth-century tower house near Winchburgh, West Lothian, Scotland. It is situated near the Union Canal, and between two large oil shale “bings”, or waste heaps. Historically it was known as Niddry Seton or West Niddry to distinguish it from Niddry Marischal in Midlothian and Longniddry in East Lothian.
