Q. Who can help me with joining the Scottish Swedish Society/paying the subscription?
A. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be glad to help. If you would like to join the Society at the special rate for students, please email the same address with a note of your contact details and of the date your course is expected to end.
Q. I am looking for information about the Society that I cannot find on the website. Who should I ask?
A. Please contact email@example.com
Q. I would like to put up a notice or advertise on the Noticeboard pages. How can I do so?
A. If you would like to insert a paid advertisement on the Noticeboard pages, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no charge for notices that are relevant to the Society’s activities or aims, and that are non-commercial in nature. Simply send the text of your notice to the same address.
Q. I would like to buy tickets for a Society event, but do not have an account with Paypal. How should I do this?
A. Follow the links to buy tickets and you will be offered an option to pay with your debit or credit card. There is no requirement to have a PayPal account. If you still have problems, email us at email@example.com and we will be glad to help.
Q. I am a member and would like to buy tickets for a Society event at the member’s rate. Is my partner/spouse also eligible for the member’s rate?
A. If you are a Family Member or a Pensioner Couple Member then your partner or spouse is also a member and eligible for the member’s rate.
Q. What information about members does the Society hold, and is it safe?
A. We hold only those contact details and subscription records which we need to administer the Society. Membership records, other than a list of names and addresses, are held on a system that is not part of the website and which is not connected to the internet.
Q. I am not a member but would like to come to a Scottish Swedish Society event. Can I do so?
A. In most cases you will be very welcome to attend our events. If a particular event is only for members, this will be made clear on the Events page.
Q. Do I have to speak Swedish to join the Scottish Swedish Society?
A. Not at all. We have many members who do not speak Swedish.
